Actually, it did. It won 1st place in B&W at Boynton Beach Camera Club this month (in my competition class). |

Piers: given the choice of branches the bird could have settled on, it probably made the right choice for the shot. Nicely cropped, great bokeh. I might just frame the image with a thin border of a complementary color. |

Beautifully taken, Shirley. The bokeh is perfect and the image tack sharp. Well composed - no improvement necessary.

Beautiful image, Hung. I agree with Stuart as regards the frame - it is a little overwhelming for this shot. |

Cheryl: I like the image a lot. In my 25 years living in Gwynedd PA, I never saw a mushroom as large or unique as that one and beautifully growing out of a log. My suggestion is to apply slightly more vignetting to separate the mushroom from its background. |

Laurie: my comment is that the image is too 50-50 with the sky and the foreground. I think the marsh wins over the sky for interest. I also feel that the area to the left of the castle is unimportant and the focus should be on the castle. So I submit my suggestion. |

A beautiful child captured in a beautiful portrait! I might suggest the darkening of the roadway, the brightness of which competes a little with that of the dandelion and perhaps including a little more of her hair on the right to frame it a bit. Otherwise, well done! |
