Very nice post processing which gives the image a lot of character. I am a vignetting fan and use it where appropriate and can't help thinking that it may work here also in focusing the viewers eye more to the car in the center by slightly blurring the sides and top. I tried it. |

A very crisp image of the scarves and thoughtfully arranged. Perhaps shadow from the scarves, if they were lit more from the side, may relieve the background from its brightness. But a very nice image nevertheless. |

This image also works well as a black and white. It doesn't need the color of the trees and, of course, that takes care of the green. I like the way the river goes off into infinity (metaphorically, of course.) I took a quick try at it. |

No additional comment needed - the cropping will help make this picture less busy and focus more on the characters. |

(Please note that the response to Shirley's comment was inadvertently posted in my image section - please go to 'The Old Lady' photo to read Piers' response).
I do, however, agree with Shirley's assessment that the water should stay and the contrasts increased. |

Imagine you are watching horror movies all day - that should give the same effect. |

Yes, the softness was intentional - result of vignetting. I was wrestling with that final action and opted for the vignette in order to bring more attention to her face. (Original is shown.) |
