Interesting subject but I thought it was a little too dark. My suggestion is to lighten it up a bit so as the foreground bushes are a little tore recognizable. |

Great action shot and I love the sharpness and color of the bull and rider. Perhaps a composite shot of a colored subject and the background converted to B&W would work. That would take a little time and skill to cut out the bull and rider but it may turn out to be an exceptional shot. |

Nice capture of the bird! I like Hung's approach to reducing the mass of the wood. I really like the curve produced by the Flycatcher's tail and body but there is a lot of negative space in the sky and it might be an improvement to substitute another sky with some subtle cloud in its place. |

I think that Al's crop captures the essence of the image - tranquil and still showing the concrete pylons of times past. The 2 pylons balance each other and I do not like Hung's suggestion as much which features a brighter bridge and the loss of the rightmost pylon. Nice to get an historical perspective posted with the image. Thanks, Shirley. |

Malabika: I think that this image works perfectly in B&W Great oblique angle of the boat and boatman and the expanse of water gives the impression of the vastness of the lake. I agree with Al, and disagree with Stephen, that the pipe should go. Great picture. |

Hung: I agree somewhat with Al's perspective. There is not enough of the boat to keep it in the image but I think cloning it out may be a better solution, mainly because it gives the image a better proportion and the man is in the right third. An interesting shot nonetheless and both Shirley any I now know what these basket boats look like underneath. |

David - This is a very unique approach and it breaks many rules. And that, including the beautiful color of the sand, drew me to it. I tried doing a horizontal flip on it but it did not have the same impact. Good job. |

Great shot, Lane. It looks like she is about to hitch a ride somewhere. Post processing is excellent and that pose is priceless. |
