2 Apr 18 Comment Very nice image, Al. The sky is spectacular and a great backdrop for the cactus. Nothing else needs modification in my opinion. Apr 20th
2 Apr 18 Comment A good capture of the birds with one caveat - the brightness of the wing of the upper bird. I know how difficult photographing white birds is. They get to be too bright with no detail visible or too grey and this is worsened by a bright sky behind, I have hundreds of spoiled images to validate my point. As soon as I get home from a shoot, I remember that I should have used the histogram and manual camera settings. One day I'll remember when I am there photographing the birds. Apr 20th
2 Apr 18 Comment A great and successful crop from the original image. The lens you used gives some great results - it's one I have also. Hung's suggestion of front space is a sound one but the capture is good just the same. Apr 20th
2 Apr 18 Comment Another beautiful image, Shirley. The back-lighting on the flowers is extremely effective and it is not the run-of-the-mill flower image shot from above. My eye is immediately taken to the central flowers due to the edge darkening. Very well done. Apr 20th
2 Apr 18 Comment Gary - other than Piers' suggestion of reducing the vignette on the horses' legs, I liked the picture the way you presented it. Very nicely processed and just a beautiful shot of these two animals. Apr 20th
2 Apr 18 Reply Thanks, Steve. I definitely remember seeing the film but the details of that scene elude me - I'll await its re-showing on TCM some day. I guess it may have remained in my subconscious.

2 Apr 18 Comment What a great image. Unlike Shirley who missed him, I immediately saw the fisherman and he's almost at the lower right 1/3 intersection of the image. The red tree provides a beautiful contrast to the other green foliage and yellow shoreline. In all the years I lived in Toronto I never visited that park, probably because it was created 35 years after we left. But on our next visit, we shall go. Apr 10th
