Nice composition for a difficult shot. Hung's improvement added to the beauty of the shot but also seemed to apply a halo around the bird's head. A good image with/without the suggestions. |

Somehow I am drawn to the original - less graininess, and a little more contrast on the lighthouse and the house at its base. But, with either one, my eye feels that there is a lean in the lighthouse, even though the submitted image is vertical (and I measured it) - it must be because of the taper of the building. I have taken some lighthouse shots in the past and never liked the outcome. So it must be me. |

Of course, we all have different ideas how an image can be improved. I like the image as a whole but am distracted by the white trunks in the upper center and left. So, my modification, based on Malabika's fix, is as below.
But an interesting scene nonetheless.

I believe that they are waiting on their boyfriends - differing from Shirley's interpretation and agreeing with yours. The way you have highlighted them to make them stand out is interesting. Losing the top row of blocks is also an improvement I may make. |

Wonderful sky and nice scene. I like the foreground and that gives the image a sense of scale. However (and sometimes there is an 'however'), I agree with Shirley about the halo above the mountains - it distracts if you are a purist. I think that, perhaps, the image is over-saturated and it has an HDR feel to it. |

Very nicely composed image. The steam in the background is a wonderful backdrop for the people on the walkway and makes them stand out well. Great image. |
