Hazel, I quite like the overall structure of your image. However, it feels a little on the opaque side with lighter tones predominating. In the version below, I have tweaked the exposure and sharpened the image. Several years ago, I got into 'flower arranging' with some success. One of the techniques I used was the Hogarth Curve and therefore I warm to the S-shaped pattern in the background. |

Nadia, You are to be complemented on producing such a technically competent piece of work. I am particularly drawn to the way you have blended the giraffes seamlessly into the bonsai. I also like the way that the skeletal trees are silhouetted against the sky. |

Brad, I quite like the idea behind your image and the way that you have enhanced the image to make it more creative. The addition of the silhouette and the milky way makes it much more interesting. However, I find the brighter areas in the lower quarter a bit distracting and I would be inclined to crop them out and make the image more of a letter-box; see below. |

Tom, I like the visual simplicity of your image and the contrast between the movement of your panning and the sharpness of yourself. Normally, I would extoll the value of left-to-right visual flow through an image with a horizontal flip but in this case, placing yourself in the lower right quadrant and looking back into the soft-focus background works perfectly. Well done. |
