Peter, Thank you for your kind words which are much appreciated. It is fascinating how we all perceive and interpret images from the things we actually see and those we see in our mind's eye. I must say that I like most single malts but I have a particular penchant for Bowmore 18 Year Old Single Malt Whisky - Note there is no 'e' in the Scottish variant. Just for a bit of fun, I had a look on Google for expensive Scottish Whisky and I found a bottle of The Macallan 52 Year Old (2018 Release) 70cl 40% which had a RRP of GBP87,600.00 and open to offers in the region of GBP73,000.00. Needless to say, this was from a Private Collection. |

Joan, Thank you for your kind words which are much appreciated. I like the idea of whisky bottles (empty of course) floating in the water. |

Peter, I like your original image which is very strong but I love your manipulated image which is a cracker. I love the abstract, surreal feeling to the picture and the colour palette which works perfectly. The granular effect adds to the overall visual dynamic. I am always drawn to images where they are the stimuli to crystalize interpretation in the mind's eye. Well done. |

Joan, I love the effect that you have achieved on the car. The rust and myriad of colours works well. Placing the model on the mudguard is a master stroke which also works well and adds to the visual story. I would like to have seen the model's left hand leaning on the mudguard and also a little drop shadow underneath her right leg. The dahlia flower that she is holding is a little distracting and either needs to be toned down or removed. I felt that she was sliding off the mudguard and I mentally rotated the image clockwise to prevent this happing in my mind's eye. |
