Thanks, Pat. I had trouble with those little branches, so I took the easy way out and removed them. Your 2 cents worth of comments are worth much more than that. Thank you for your careful consideration of my painting. |

Terrific portrait of the fisherman,er, fisherbear. Painting fur must be one of the most difficult challenges, and you've certainly mastered it. Good for you for adding catch lights to the bear's eyes and also to that of the fish. I was confused by the diagonal line of spray above the bear; maybe just a few tiny bubbles would be more effective. Oh, yes, I prefer the final version. |

It takes the eye of an artist to see the creative possibilities in a mundane subject. Your rendering of the building as a painting makes this a work of art. Like Cindy, I prefer your original version with all the diagonal lines; this seems more dynamic than when all the lines a straightened. |

Great work, Gerhard. Your brush work is much different than what you've used in the past, and I think it is effective in this stunning painting. |

What a beautiful scene that you've rendered nicely. I love the composition and, especially, the colors. The brush strokes are effective and are reminiscent of Van Gogh. |

I'm sure the parents will love it. I love it-- the delicate colors, the square format, and your innovative mat. A sweet painting, Nancy. |

Hi, Cindy, and welcome to our group. Thank you for your nice comments on my painting. I experimented with painting out the tree on the right, but I decided by including it and blurring it, it gave the painting a feeling of a bit more depth. |

Thank you, Nancy, for taking the time to play with my painting. The sky kept bothering me so I tried several shades of blue. But you came up with the right solution. Now it looks like the ground extends way into the distance. I love the difference it makes. |
