Whoops. I inadvertently deleted Nancy's comments about my painting and my reply to her. So, thank you, Nancy, for your warm and insightful words. I agree that the petunias do not look painterly. I did do a lot of work on them, but it only shows when the picture is greatly enlarged. It seems that I should work for just a suggestion of color rather than keeping details. |

Thank you, Pat. You are always generous with your detailed analysis and critiques of our paintings, and I appreciate that. I have been taking a watercolor painting class (real paint, real water-- not digital) and we had several intense sessions on painting with perspective. Much of what I learn in that class carries over into my digital painting. |
