I appreciate your desire to portray the person's character and personality in your portraits, and your choice of brushes is a good attempt to do so in this picture. My reservation is that while his hair and glasses are rugged, his skin is relatively smooth. I would like to see more texture on his face to unify the impression you wish to convey. Overall, though, it is a fine portrait. One other small detail: There is an eyelight in the right eye, but not in the left. I'd like to see it in both eyes. |

Pat, your enhancements bring out the the excitement that you must have felt when you watched the laser show. Now it really sparkles. I agree that the swirl doesn't seem to relate well to the rest of the scene, but otherwise, it's a fascinating picture. |

The blue and gold color combination is striking. I. too, would like to see more sharpness in the bird so it stands out more from the background. |
