56 Nov 18 Comment Wonderful colors and feathery brush strokes. I,too, would like to see more of the branch. At first glance the bird seemed to be floating in mid-air. The brush strokes on the branch seem too similar to the feathery strokes on the bird, and that contributed to my visual confusion. Still, this is a very striking painting. Nov 16th

56 Nov 18 Comment I love the way The fence leads my eye into the distance where we see the wonderful color. It certainly is an effective painting. But I do disagree with Kathy about the sky-- I think the heavy impasto texture is a distraction. I'd also like the clouds to be more fluffy, even though they aren't in the original. But overall, the painting is beautiful. Nov 16th
