The soft layers of fog are intriguing and I love the color effect and texture. Interesting how different all of us are in the use of saturation or desaturation. Indeed, a lovely image. |

Wonderful colors and feathery brush strokes. I,too, would like to see more of the branch. At first glance the bird seemed to be floating in mid-air. The brush strokes on the branch seem too similar to the feathery strokes on the bird, and that contributed to my visual confusion. Still, this is a very striking painting. |

The painting reminds me of a Van Gogh. High saturation is appealing to many photographers, including me. No wonder Fuji's Velvia film was so popular. Nice work, Nancy. |

Usually I don't care for the Topaz glow effect, but it really works well-- very well-- in your painting. |

I love the way The fence leads my eye into the distance where we see the wonderful color. It certainly is an effective painting. But I do disagree with Kathy about the sky-- I think the heavy impasto texture is a distraction. I'd also like the clouds to be more fluffy, even though they aren't in the original. But overall, the painting is beautiful. |
