Or just eliminate the patch of grass-- it does look like it might be an alligator! But overall this is an excellent painting. |

I like that you added the second boat. It adds a business, which is a positive in this picture because it (and the bright colors) helps convey a feeling of excitement. |

The subject certainly is enhanced by converting it to a painting with warmer tones. I like the many diagonal lines, which enhance the composition. I have a problem, though, in accepting the areas of sharp and unsharp focus. Conventionally, the areas should get progressively unsharp as the eye moves from front to back, or the center area could be selectively sharp while areas in front and in back are less focused. |
