The overall painting is quite lovely, although I feel the pattern on the curtain draws our attention away from the flowers. |

Thanks, Kathy. If you look closely at the original photograph, you can see a bit of a red reflection on the napkin, so nature deserves the credit. But your and Pat's comments alert me to capitalize on reflective color whenever it will add to a painting. |

Your coloration of the dancer and fabric make this a truly outstanding painting. I'm ambivalent about the addition of the top and bottom rectangles, although they do give us the feeling he is on the stage. The Vitruvian man in the lower right complements the gestures of the dancer, although I find it a bit distracting, especially because of the white splashes. But overall, bravo. |

Nancy, this is a lovely Impressionist painting and an excellent, seamless composite. A couple of things bother me, though. One is that dark area in the lower middle; its value contrast pulls my eye and is a distraction. Also, I wish the parents were looking toward the children. But overall, it's a delightful painting. |

The colors make for a spectacular painting-- what a difference they make. I also like that you changed the orientation of the balloon. I agree with Gerhard's suggestion about relacing
the number, unless it has some special significance. |
