Thank you, Deborah. I frequently forget about developing an image for high key. Thanks for the reminder. |

Thank you Deb. I will work toward shooting a similar image this year, but adjusting for less of a background disruption. |

Nice catch. I might have a tendency to do a top crop, but this works just as well, showing the taller building in the background. You caught the mood, and the facial expression well. I like the black and white for this image. |

Wow Jim, the details of this bird portrait are extraordinary! Welcome to the group..........we're usually pretty easy on each other, but do give helpful suggestions, which I enjoy reading. I get ideas from others in this group on a regular basis. I also am not shy about asking for ideas for improving an image. I hope you will enjoy being a part of our group! Which camera and lens did you use for this shot? I might have a tendency to dodge a little of the white in the eye circle, just to add emphasis to the eye. What a great capture! |

Thanks Joe, it was somewhat of an accident that I ended up discovering this result!

Zinnia perhaps Sheila? Nice catch. Bees are quick for sure. Good shot for 1/160th of a second! It's not often I am able to catch the wings still enough for this kind of sharpness! |

Lucky with the moon for sure! If you could find a way to reduce the importance of the buildings (saturation maybe), and increase the brightness and saturation of just the moon, the emphasis might switch from the buildings to the beautiful huge moon. I have the same issue with clouds along the horizon when shooting nighttime images here in Tennessee. |
