A beautiful image that demonstrates the power of focus stacking at it's best. |

Well-done. You turned a 'blah' image into a work of art. |

Kathy, I like the blueness of the lake and of the scene in general. If you use ps, you can change the white balance to be less blue, but I think this tone gives that feeling of coldness at a place that is obviously a very cold morning. |

Thank you Larry Treadwell for visiting and commenting on this image. I agree, a polarizer might have improved the shot. I have a story behind not owning a polarizer for this particular lens. I lost my set of filters that I usually have when shooting water, and I make myself do without for a while when I do something as foolish as losing camera equipment, hoping to teach myself a lesson in the long run! |

I like the distant mountains and colors of the sky and all the lines leading up to it. Were you able to get some close-up shots of the methane gas bubbles? I have read that this lake is well-known for these methane bubbles, but you know, I have found them in the little pond in the pasture next door here in the South, when the pond freezes over........they are tiny tho, compared to these huge ones up in Canada! What a thrill to be at Abraham Lake in the winter! |

I like how you have framed the red bridge with the contrasting snowy tree branches. I might have a tendency to crop almost a third of the top branches, leaving mostly the frame, structure and reflection. A great catch any way you look at it! |

Lovely scene, with the vehicle tracks leading the eye, and the light shining from the street lights. The snow looks like one of those wet, heavy snows. The term 'cozy' comes to mind. |

Editing at it's best! Wonderful job of bringing the eyes toward infinity, and conversion to a snow scene! I like how you have flipped the shot horizontally. |

I do so love trees with snow on them. The darker sky goes perfect with these lovelies. |

Wonderful depth, movement, and ice formations all show well in black and white. Tom, if you go about walking on ice very often, cleats slip on the shoes really easily! You be careful up there! An awesome picture! |
