Except for the fact that the eye is not clearly visible, the remainder of the image is well-done. Great feather details and colors. Nice muted background. |

What a great model. Good job with the flash...can't tell you used one. Aren't cloudy days so good for eliminating the shadows! The only distracting feature I see in this image is the dark bar in the upper third, going across. I might have a tendency to remove it in post, and perhaps crop a bit from the top, or even the top and right side. Well-done for sure!

Nice catch. Sounds like a fun adventure. You did a good job in lightening the darks of the original. I might have a tendency to selectively lighten some of the mid tones of the bird, and perhaps do a tad more sharpening. Tom's suggestion about blurring the bk more might be all of the sharpening that is needed, although I have discovered that the sharpening tool (brush tool) in ps to work well sometimes. Nice composition, with catching the bird head at an angle so that the eye shows up well. |

I like the conversion to black and white. Even tho the main person is blurry, I find the tent tops and flags more distracting. I like the women facing the camera are of more interest, although they too are a little oof or blurry on my screen. I can't speak for the worth of the image, it's up to the artist. But, the idea is a good one I think. |

Thanks Tom. Yes, the wind was an issue, as well as the background and other items. I often hesitate to move many things around when shooting close-ups, but it's so much fun to see an image coming together in post. |

Perfect use for HDR! I like that you added some shadows. I like it just as it is. I can imagine playing around with this image.....changing angles, etc. just for fun. But, it is well-done for sure! |

Ah, what a wonderful shot. The starburst adds a lot, but the shadows while maintaining the details in the Aspen is just lovely! Sky color original, and the composition is spot on. Well-done! |

I like your composition, with the main eye catcher off to the right side. Interesting building, with lots of textures and colors. Good exposure, textures and composition. I find that sometimes when merging the images, the color of the blue skies changes to be a color that does not look natural. Sometimes I can selectively change the tone of blue to be more like the original, and sometimes not. It might be worth a try. Welcome to the group, and what an interesting picture you have given us to examine! |
