What an intriguing image! Lovely colors, textures and appeal. My only suggestion would be to straighten the image just a tad more (top toward left), so the windows are a tad straighter. The image has a feel to me of tilting a bit to the right. Well-done. |

I like your composition, with the plane coming into the image with only 1 1/2 of a wing. The only thing I might want to do to this image would be to increase the lightness of the mid-tones of the plane, and sharpen just a tad more the nose of the plane. The movement of the propellers is a nice touch, as is the front wheel off the ground. Looks like you were able to catch it at just the right second! |

B&W works for me with this image, although both are good. I like the crop, getting rid of most of the people. You might consider a top crop to just below the dark part of the sky so that the horizon isn't in the center. It looks cold and like a remote spot in this image. Well-done. |

Tom, I like the original color, perhaps if the background could be blurred more, and perhaps desaturated a tad, along with selectively lightening the adult's face and eyes. Captivating subject and nice catch of the action. As a black and white, all the objects seem to blend together for me. |

Yes Don, I am stuck with using an older version of ACR, mostly because I haven't found the need to upgrade.....I use CS5 (PS). Maybe my age is showing, but once I have mastered or at least am comfortable with a program, I have a tendency to use that version and not seek to upgrade. For instance, I purchased and had lightroom for about 5 years.......even took a class on how to use it, and ended up deleting it from my computer because I didn't like a couple of the components. Things I like or find useful, I seem to hang onto. Perhaps we could have a discussion in the 'bulletin board' about what programs we each like and use on a regular basis? |

I love circular stairways and what they reveal in a photograph. Well-done, and the window could be handled either way, as is, or more defined. I might have a tendency to remove the window and wires near the top of the image. Have you thought about changing it to a different tone, maybe warmer? Just a thought. Well-done. |

Thanks Jeffrey. Oh, you can lay the camera on the ground, pointing up, and do a timed release, and that is fun too, or perhaps you could lay down on the ground, looking through the view finder (smiles). |

I like the colors, subtle, and just shades of blues. An airplane in the background would be nice too. |

Wonderful lines, colors and movement. There is one bright spot on the sand that I find a little pulling at the eye, but overall, a very good sunset shot catching the nice warm colors! |

Good job cloning out the bright light, and your crop. The trees are minor for me, and the only thing I might consider would be to lighten some areas of the sky, or perhaps darken some areas of the sky.......it seems a tad bland to me. Adding a little more contrast might do the trick. Well-taken, and a nice shot. I'm glad you have joined the group! |

Wonderful exposure, colors, lines and sun burst. I agree with Jeffrey about the sky and the sign. Looks better without the sign. I also see two pictures in this image......cropping just above the arch would give an image that has a different focal point. Both are nice. My eye wants to level the arch more, or perhaps the sidewalk at the bottom. Not sure what that would to to the remainder of the image. Well-shot, and really nice colors. |

You always have some good suggestions Gary. You're right, the darkening of the sky would make a difference, and yes, I'm sure that I lightened the darkness of the bark with sliders. Thanks for the suggestions on how to do the fix. |
