For a first, this is a great shot! My only suggestion would be to selectively lighten the midtones of the faces a tad, another slight sharpen of all, and a slight increase of saturation. Nice composition, and good catch of the action. |

Nice silhouette for sure, although the slight fringing around three of the tree trunks is a bit distracting. I like the glow and the change to b&w. The tree shapes are intriguing, and I like the fact that you have left a frame at the top and bottom of the image, as well as on the right. Usually of course they say use an odd number, but the four trees in this image looks right to me. |

I prefer the image on the side because it shows more details, as well as captures a couple of waterways. However, the main image does show the mountains and sky better. Both are nice. Good job with the combining too. |

Wow, fine details as well as showing a bit of the surrounding. Wonderful shot. As Kathy said, there are more than one image within this one. |

Wonderful colors and you captured it just at the right second. My only suggestion might be to try and lighten the face a tad. What fun! I'd say you did well with your first portrait's. |

I agree with Kathy, the eyes are the subject of this image. What a cute shot, and well-lit. Excellent colors. |

Lovely flower and well-done! I might have a tendency to darken the whites in the background, and I like the original colors better (maybe because the flower greens are a different shade than the bk?). However, you did a wonderful job with the dof, as the 105 macro lens (mine anyway) seems to have such a narrow dof. I haven't tried focus stacking software, but from what I have read, that would be the way to go to get more in focus. I have attempted manual focus stacking two or three images in PS, with mixed results (it's tedious). Nice details. |

Thanks Richard. When I first looked at the two images, I thought 'no way', but ps does a good job with combining images, and it doesn't look as tilted as I first thought it might. |

LOL, Gary, I really don't want the small water on the right to show up more, and I already did a bit of tweaking on it just to make sure one could see it. But, you are correct in thinking that one-shot is nice of this falls, and with the use of ND filters, it is possible to extend the shooting time. This was shot using the 28-300mm lens, but I also used the 14-24 lens here as well. This is a waterfalls that begs for reshooting every spring, and this is my third visit in the past 10 years! |

Well, I like all three! Removing background distractions is a plus, and I like Richard's edit also. To me, this old truck, with the two 'eyes' in the back, the open 'bowels', and the facial expression of the front is a perfect composition. It looks forlorn, but peaceful, with the rust and beautiful blue coloring. |

Yes, well-done! I like the colors in the middle exposure one better (a little less yellow), but the final image is very nice! |

Amazing details in the horse and all of foreground! The removal of the halo is a plus, and what you were able to do with the sky is just wonderful. Well-captured and very good pp work! |
