Welcome to the group, and great job with conversion as well as crop! I might have a tendency to try a dark vignette instead of a light one, but standing alone, without a vignette, the image is nice too. |

These creatures are difficult to spot and even more difficult to shoot. That 600mm did very well! I had to chuckle when I saw this shot as he/she looks a bit worried. Good colors and details as well. The important parts are sharp! |

Lucky you to be allowed to use a tripod! Wonderful colors, and I like the starlight type of light bouncing off the cars due to exposure/f-stop settings. I might have a tendency to try cloning out or replacing the background behind the farthest cars with a solid color or a fading color. I find the background cars, posters and doorways a distraction so at first my eye didn't know where to land. I also like the reflections on the floor. If the image has enough pixels, you might try a small crop of the three bumpers that have similar shapes on the left for a small image. Wonderful shinny image! |

Ah, what wonderful details in the feathers. Sweet pose too. I might have a tendency to add just a tad of background behind the head feathers as it seems close to the edge, and I would also experiment with lightening the eye just a tad more. Great shot! |

Wonderful portrait with the details of the hair and snow on fur! I like the crop. You might consider doing a tad more sharpening of the end of the nose up to the eyes, and I might do just a slight dodging the eyes to lighten them. You could try lightening the darks in the snow of the background, but it's not distracting since it is all oof. Wonderful image just as it is. I'm thinking selective brightening of just Clyde might make it pop. |

Wonderful shot, maybe just a tad over-bright, but I like the composition and blurring of background. |

Richard, this was taken at an overlook at Fall Creek Falls State Park, middle Tn. Was a windy, cold day, and no time to walk to the bottom, so took what was available. |

Wonderful shot and good choice for a circular image. I like everything but the bright/dark blue background, it's just a bit strong. I would have a tendency to use maybe the light blue from the scene, or a muted color. Love the results tho! |

Richard, what a find! Jeffrey's flip brings the building more into the image, and I might suggest just a tad of crop on the right, removing some of the stone wall to simplify the image a bit. Excellent leading lines. I'm sure there are many shots you could compose here! Makes me want to visit the spot! |

What a wonderful shot! I have no suggestions because I think it's great, especially with Jeff's changes. |

Well, I'm taking a different look at this image, and hoping you don't mind Ray. To me, the important part of the picture is the landscape that is just beyond the windows of this structure, so I have played around a little in PS, turning the lovely building into a frame of sorts. To me, the hdr did a good job of bringing out the wood grain and details of the structure, but when combined with the beautiful colors outside, it makes for everything to be important in the image, so I guess I tried to increase the importance of the colorful autumn and pond and decrease the importance of the beautiful wooden structure, just to see what that would look like. Both ways of looking at this image are correct because there is no 'correct' and 'incorrect' picture. |

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions, and I agree that the final image was not to my liking also. Jeffery, I like your changes, and here is another take I did this morning. I will probably re-work this image several times until I have it the way I like it the best. For this one, I used topaz labs to soften it. The one I first posted looks terribly over sharpened and almost pixelated, with colors still somewhat off. Gary, I'll try On1 when I find time! This is still a 'work in progress'! Thank you both for your honest opinions!

Gary and Richard, is this better (the main image). Sorry, I was out most of the day since we had sunshine and warmer temps! |
