I like the colors, and capturing ice covered foliage is not an easy task. The bokeh in the background is a nice side effect of the lighting. I hope you don't mind that I cropped, (it may be too heavy of a crop), played with the levels a little, and sharpened just a tad in ps. The original image is nice, but there is a lot of information there that is out of focus, and the main subject almost gets lost in the background. Wonderful lighting tho. Hope this gives you ideas. |

Great job cloning, and I like the framing and colors. Why did you flip the image in order to brighten the eyes? The only thing that bothers me about the image is that the eyes do not seem to be as sharp, or perhaps as contrasty as they could be? Wonderful lighting and colors. Did you replace the background with a new color? |

Good thinking about capturing the motion of the bat, and lucky shot to have included the ball in the image as well! The reds seem to be over saturated a tad, otherwise a nice image. Wonderful angle to capture the play. |

Sorry Kathy, I do not have information for you about phone images. I was so disappointed with the quality of mine when I downloaded them to the computer that I just use mine for sending in texts and phone messages. Google should have lots of links to helpful sites tho. I think your phone did a good job taking the picture, and you captured the concentration of the player quite well. |

OOooohh, I love the leading lines in this image!! You've got to be the master of leading lines! What a wonderful shot, and in black and white makes it even better! If you had not given us the information about infrared, I would not have suspected. Wonderful shot. |

Well, it might be ok for military, LOL. The three images you combined look close to the same exposure. I went back and looked at the image you sent in, and yes, they are each different, so perhaps you might have thought to get 5 or 7 exposures in order to get the full range? The building, composition, and stone work are awesome. |

Good catch for sure. Could you imagine living in a building like that! I like the colors in the final image, and I agree with Paul that just a tad of dodging and burning on the stone wall facing the sun might improve the contrast and reduce the burn. The lighting conditions must have been difficult for sure. I like the reflections and foreground leading the eye to the castle. Well-done. |

Nice touch, getting the artist in the frame, and many small details in the hillside that has meaning for you. I like the layered look of the remainder of the image, but the hills and the clouds in the background compete for attention. There are several things that could be tried to lessen their importance, up to and including taking a shot under different lighting conditions. The objective would be to have this wonderfully detailed rock wall stand out from the background, although the clouds in your submitted image are pleasing, they seem to me to catch the eye away from the subject. If you selected the subject, inverted the selection, and reduced the brightness and the color saturation for the background, that would be one possible way to help the subject become the main object of interest. I hope this makes sense! |

Paul, you captured clouds that at best are difficult to show in an image. Swirling clouds around rocky mountains are beautiful, and you did a good job with your adjustments. I especially like how you retained the color and crispness of the pine trees in the foreground, but were able to keep the wispy feeling of the clouds. This would make a beautiful large image to hang. |

I was surprised too about the low noise level of these pics. I did use some noise reduction in camera raw (luminance), but none in the final image. The picture does have some noise, so if I ever print I'll probably use either the ps noise reduction or topaz labs noise reducer. Photoshop does a good job (I think) of stitching images together. Thanks Richard. |
