Again, happy that you made it through the storm safely.

4 Sep 17 Comment You captured the moment and presented it well with a very nice composition, Ian. You also framed the three children and their excitement with all of the other elements nicely. I hope that some of your work is used for future publicity.

Also, Ian, I appreciate your positive thoughts on my Capitol dome image.

4 Sep 17 Comment Happy that you made with through the storm and are ok, Erik.

From my view, your image is about the survival of the fittest as it captures the varying degrees of aggressiveness displayed by each chick under the watchful eye of the Mother. Improving the aesthetics of the colors and brightness might add a little more impact; but that is your choice.

4 Sep 17 Comment Guy, you worked hard to get the right angle and perfect composition for this great image. I like the contrast between the rocks, the tree and the clouds in the blue sky. I feel like I am scrambling up the rocks.

4 Sep 17 Comment Good work on your editing, Bill. Taking out the distractions added impact to the final image. It will make a nice tranquil photo for a summer month in your calendar. Before printing, check the tower to see if it needs to be straightened a little bit.

4 Sep 17 Comment Isaac, it is good to hear that you and Erik made it safely through the storm. My brother's electric power came back yesterday in Siesta Key, Sarasota.

Very nice image of the Canadian Falls. The smooth water lines draw my eye into the frame on the left and then guide me throughout. With your slow shutter speed, you have captured the powerful impact of the falling water.

4 Sep 17 Comment Joe, your choice of the saturated or unsaturated version of the red building will work for me. Your use of HDR processing is well done. The image is sharp and well composed and captures the beautiful light on the right side of the cove.

4 Sep 17 Comment Joe, Guy and Ian, thank you for sharing your guidance on how to improve this image. Your adjustments will add impact. Since I had cropped some of the image on the right, I think that it will work better if I retake the shot and crop in the camera. Then in post processing, I will be more careful of the tonal range.
