Leslie, the beach is almost deserted and in my opinion, the background looks fine to me. I think that you indicated something almost insignificant. The beach looked completely deserted and the pelican and I were just wondering where everyone was.
Funny! |

Well Art, I'm afraid you'll be sorely disappointed to hear what I'm telling you. You will not find any more skeptical person than I am, but not only speaking about AI, and other photo technics or post-processing applications. The problem is that I grew up, photographic speaking, when there was only the enlarger and we did everything with that. Dodging, burning, correcting light, and everything and anything. I perfectly agree with you. Although you can't deny the progress(?). If deny AI we should deny the iPhone and the many applications that make look images all the same. I remember when I used to help a friend's photographer shoot a wedding. The old Rolleyflex camera, 125/8. Art we can't go back. We might slow down, but never go back. So relax Art, we'll see what the future will bring to us. The AI frenzy has barely started. And as Leonardo da Vinci used to say we will keep observing nature. |

Art' I think that I'm almost capable of doing a lot in photography, but not taking other people's images and selling them as my work. I hope you are making fun of me. In any case, I have some reservations about your pp. For start, I do not like "vignetting." Then I do not like the colors being ultra-saturated. Kurt, I understand your point. We had this discussion many times. This will not last, either. Let's pass the frenzy about AI, and see what will remain. Painting is been the same for several thousand years, who said we need to change that? Let's have fun for the time being. |
