Sylvia thank you for your comments. My photo is nothing more than an attention grabber, as you perfectly said. I was attracted by the geometry and composition of the window and I fire a few shot. That store has very interesting window all-over Europe and all the opportunities to shot an image intrigue me and I take home those images. I believe that not only sunsets and sunrise need to be photographed. I believe that there plenty of opportunities out there to take nice pictures. Also I attached the original image I took, Kurt you can see better what it was and what it is. Nothing more than a nice abstract image from a store window. I do not follow the fashion much be a pair of paints or a pair of shoes, but since I used to photograph dummies in the store windows it seam to me that there is an evolution how these products are displayed. I like to generated a discussion about subject, composition, colors and subject of course. Feel free to express your opinion, is not a contest here but, as I said, I like the discussion what ever everyone thinks of an image. |

Sorry friends I like to be a contrarian, but first let me tell you that I like Art and Kurtis PP. Also very well done by you, Sylvia, and those who did the additional processing. I'll explain. Back a couple of years ago, since and as always, I complained about the lack of clarity for the rules of the travel images. I was put in a "commission" in charge for a revision of those changes. The decisions were made, my only decision, for me, was that and only, to resign from the "commission" after the first virtual meeting. The discussion was about "staged" images. No, no, do not take me wrong I'm not thinking that these images are staged, but those images taken in the wild with a nice tree branch right in the middle of the image are really intriguing and yes, nice. These images, Sylvia and Art, are beautiful but a bit sterile for my taste, but I understand the problems that Kurt masterfully highlighted in his comments. In any case I'm very happy that this group is raising the level of the images and discussions. Keep doing it my friends. |

I agree with Kurt, leave the image right there, is a complete story and well told with a photo camera. Excellent job Sunandan. |

Indeed it works. I agree with Art, the potential is there you need to work more to get a good file made in a way that you can reach your goal. Memory is very cheap these days, take tons of shots, changing setting every time. Do not be afraid to try. ICM is not a perfect science instead is made of tons of tryin and mistakes. Then review the files dump those you do not like and keep, a few, that you think are worth to be saved. I see you have LrC, that's an excellent PP tool. It can surprise you how much you can change your images. Doit again Regine, you are doing well. |

Marge I need a bike like that, what's the price? Well, I have serious doubts that somebody would be able to ride that bike but at least we have somebody that can fix some problem. For the riding problems I'm referring to the missing piece of the frame, but for the rest Art did a nice job on an interesting image. Store windows provide unlimited opportunities with colorful images ready to pick up everywhere. Unfortunately it is very difficult to work on files already worked out with different computers and applications. One suggestion I can give to you, when you are out and about to photograph windows keep a polarizer filter on your lens, that alone can minimize the reflections problem a more manageable level, and you can keep working with this file, you might find a way to extract something good from it. |

Nice catch Art, a bit over-exposed ma otherwise an excellent post processing. It doesn't happen everyday to get a scene like this. You were quick to catch the scene. Excellent action, good colors and everything in perfect focus. Great Job. |
