You said that right: "Grand Indeed." Also I do to love this place a lot. If I'm near or far I must stop for a few shots. It is a beautiful site and the colors change with changing hours. I just adjusted light, curves, colors, exposition and a few more, but I didn't attempt any major changes of the file. But you can do that with your original file. Nice picture. |

Art you did something as good as usual you do, however. That part of the Umbrian region is, also, well known for the olive trees that blanket the landscape as far as your eyes can see. Personally I would not keep the tree trunk standing there, I would prefer delete that tree completely. |

Well, Art, what can I say, you are my teacher and inspiration, I think you reached a level of excellence in this technic that I try to imitate to get to that level as well. Right now, here,I have the handicap of a camera that stubbornly works in manual just like in automatic. I'll be in Minnesota at the end of March and I will take off the retirement a Nikon D700 which it should be easy to adjust manually. For the time being I keep using my Lumix G9. A very well done job Art. |

Regine do you know that place is less than 2 miles from my backyard? That's right and that guy seating there is a statue? In any case it is a nicely composed image. Unfortunately I can't do much on an all ready corrected image. I tried but with the sun shining into the lens there isn't much you can do. However, it still a nice image of a moment and place to be remembered. |

Kurt, thank you for taking my suggestion. Indeed you went well over my expectations. Full bright saturated color, sharp-tack focus and a full motioning tensions of the horses and jockeys, perfect exposure. I think you have a winner, try to enter this image in some salons it would be interesting to see the reactions of some jurors. Excellent job done. |
