Sorry Marge you are correct I'm wrong. Too much meat on the fire, please allow me to be confused, I'm not a sailor. 😂 |

OK Sunandan, I'll try to clarify the action I took to create this image. I was sailing, as a guest of friend, on Lake Pepin (Mississippi) the boat was parallele to our boat and sailing from left to right, at considerable higher speed than us. And there was enough room in front of the the boat, as you can see in the posted image. Look at it carefully, Marge, and you can recognize the shape of the front of the boat. Or in marine language the stern of the boat. The reason I do not believe in flipping this image is right that. When you flip an image you flip everything not only the subject. And you create a problem with out reason. Sorry Art but this is Math as you well know. Regarding the motion blur and the ripples in the water. As the image is created in camera, moving the camera, the water can't be rippled. Do you uhunderstand what I mean Sunandan. Personally I told the group, several time, that I do not like the re-create the image in my computer. I like to create the image in camera doing only minor adjustments in post processing. If you would know the back ground of this image you would know that image is a perfect image of the area it was taken. A thin strip of sand, a large area of vegetation and the hills of the backdrop. In any case you are very welcome, and I'm happy to see you all elaborating around that Image, but I will not make any change to the final image (posted) that I think, even with possibilities of changes and modification it will remain just what you see. Only if you point out to me a macro mistake or composition error I will consider a change. This is way I like photography, you can suggest all the canges you like but the author it will have the last word. Keep shooting my friends. Thank you for this interesting conversation. |

Marge, I think that Art did a good job resizing your image, But personally I'm hesitant to radically change an image that someone else made. I just tried to correct the exposition of your image trying to maintain the photographer initial composition and more complete story. |

Regine, thank you for your comments. Actually, with all my respect for your and Art opinions, the boat was sailing from the left to right, and reading an image from left to right is a natural way to read. Just an opinion. |

Regine, it is a nice Panorama picture, I know the place, I've been there in a cold freezing Winter morning. As far as printing I think that, if this file is the only you have, is too small to print a larger image than a thumbnail. This image is 72 DPI and if you print from PS it doesn't allow you to do that. For a decent 4x6 print you need a file of, at least, 180 DPI. When printing a file is not only the sharpness that is important, but mostly D.ot P.er I.nch. Hope you have the original file. |

Excellent post-process Art. I slightly adjusted the luminosity. Very well done. |
