I agree with both of you Kurt and Art the image could be a bit too dark, but never forget we are watching these images, each one of us, in different machines and screens what you think is a bit too dark for me was a bit to bright. If I remember correctly we had the same troubles with the printed images. Last century remember? |

Sunandan, I must add my opinion to that of our friends above, the colors ara breathtaking, my only regret is that I can't travel to India, for medical reason, and I can't see this beauty from the location that it should be a unique experience not only photography speaking. Very interesting image. |

Marge sorry to hearing about your husband. Happy New Year to you as well.
I think this's a nice interesting image, I tried some minor adjustments and a different cropping removing those people in the distant background. I think that the composition looks a little bit more balanced. |

Sylvia, I think that your image looks better in full color than B&W. I, also, I would crop the image more to the right, giving it more breathing room to the entire. If there was a storm brewing on the horizon with a sky busier with of some clouds yes I probably would have convert the image, but not that. |

Sorry, my apology. I didn't realize that the original image was the one IR converted. Although my opinion about the images does not change. |

Art I switched the images, as per you request, but now I'm more confused than ever. I thought, obviously wrong, that the point was the IR image. Honestly, please explain, I do not see the purpose in taking an IR image and then convert it to a regular color image. do I miss something? Even one or the other, I think need more careful work. The tree on the foreground, left or right, is quite distracting and I think it should be cropped off. The taking a break focus point needs also some work. Personally I would crop the image bringing that part a bit closer to make it more visible. The chromatic effect is very little and do not give the idea of whatever season we are in. To be honest I prefer the IR image. |

Kurt, Let say that you have a nice silhouette. You mentioned snowing but I do not see any trace of snow. You converted a color file desaturating "black and white" and I believe that it was not the best approach even to convert the file. I do not use Topaz and I can't comment this aspect further, but if I think about that PS does an excellent job converting a file to BW. I'm not sure what kind of image you were trying to get. A picture taken in August should be clearer, more defined details and a better tonal range. On top of all the above I've a feeling that the subject chosen was not the best for the image that you were aiming at. |

Well Kurt, I think that there's only one IR converted image here, as you can see. I believe that either Art got confused, or is trying to confuse us. You know, by now, that Art loves flipping images and I do not understand why he flipped his image here. I suspect that Art is trying to confuse us, right Art?😂😂 Honestly I do not know if the image was converted in camera or in post processing. Happy New Year, in any case. |

Good Job Regine. Very nice attempt, you did an egregious job replacing the sky to your image. The image looks pretty sharp. If anything I could do I would place the vessel a bit off center to the right. More close to third right side, and give some more spritz to the colors. |
