Sylvia, I would like to see some of the person, in this case you grand daughter, plunging in to the pol. I understand that you like the splashing water, and I do not blame you, but in my opinion the story is not well written as it is now. Seeing from the original image, you attached, you had ample space to crop your final image in a different way. Also, does your camera allow shooting on a 4K mode, or at least have a shooting mode that allows you to shot multiple photograms or a sequence, or you have only a single shot mode? The 4K mode allows you to shot a sequence of several photograms, particularly useful in these occasions that you try to give the image a sense of movement, instead of a static one, resulting in a better final image. Try it. |

Sunandan, you have a winner. I would enter this image in a PTD salon I'm sure that it will do egregiously. I try to tone down the image a little bit, I think that it was a bit oversaturated. I like this image very much. Great job Sunandan. |

Good image Kurtis. I like the way you framed the subject against the people-spectators seating in the front row. Unfortunately the image is a bit soft with some areas jut autofocus. I think that the combination shutter-speed and focal f/2.8 is probably not the best, for indoor shooting. I had the same problems when shooting fast moving subject with low light. I put my ISO on auto with a max of 3200/6400 and the chose the shutter speed I like, the camera will chose the f/ number it will best with the speed you set. Try it will work. And do not think that the high ISO will create too much noise. It is an old idea that it does't have anything to do with high ISO. The noise ic created by some different parameters. nd, by the way you can easily control the noise with different post processing apps. |

Art, what happened to this bird? you said it did a soft-landing! it doesn't look like to me. You night want review the landing procedures, that poor bird lost some feathers in the process. Jokes a part I have the impression that the idea is good but the adjustments were left unfinished. The image looks pretty noisy and as I said unfinished. I'm not impressed with this one. You can do better. |
