Congrats Marge excellent shot. Good focus, beautiful colors and good composition. If anything I should do to this image I would only crop the little cute bird with a slight larger context around, but not necessarily. I darkened a little the branch just selecting that and reduced a bit the brightness. Quick and simple. |

Art I respectfully disagree with you on both the suggestions. And I'll explain why. Flipping the image it would add or take out any thing to the final image. If we follow the unwritten rules we should read the image like we read a book from left to right. Toning down the color makes an image rich of colors a dull one. I'll not arguing on the taste, that's strictly a matter of taste, beside the colors I remember were more lively than the toned down ones. If one think I regret is that in this image format I had the crop down a lot of details that they might add to a different image format. Fortunately I have the original files and I can go back and change format at any time. And beside, Carnival is a celebration of forms (costumes) and colors. I think that we should reasonably keep that in mind. |

I like this way oc composing a frame within a frame. It is all in focus, good, good expositions, and natural colors. Very well done Art. |

Indeed Bob you did a nice job on this image. I would not for any reason change the composition, this image is like you took off the many book spinning around on internet teaching photography. Yes is the classic rule-of-third but it is perfect. The chromatic scale is good as well the focus is perfect. Well done Bob. |
