Larry, you know I'm Italian, I used to travel to Venice on a regular basis many times each year until 2015, then I retired quit and closed my small travel business. This image is the most recent taken In February before the pandemic started. Those poles are a fundamental part of Venice landscape. Just like the water. If you look at the picture you can see some of the local scene behind the poles. You can take that as distraction or as part of the landscape. Fo me that could the be the "image expresses the characteristic features or culture of a land as they are found naturally." |

Jean-Claude I've fascinated with trains since 3rd grade, and even now when I can I enjoy a train ride any time I can. I like your image here and I was wondering if you have another fila with more context space around the engine. I think it would be a bit more interesting to see something more around the main subject that it appears to be very sharp and colorful. Good job. |

Marge you beat yourself with this image, very well captured image. I just did some minor adjustments with Viveza, just to make the image a little more sparkle. I didn't touch the composition, it doesn't need; didn't touch the colors, it doesn't need. Nice winning image. Great job. |

Another well done image of a sunrise. I tend to be good with sunsets rather than sunrises, sorry my friends, getting out of the bed in the dark is not my best idea of photography.😒😒 I like this image and I tried to give it some more sparkle adjusting a little bit tone and contrast and curves. Bob you chose this framing did you try with a different framing like a more strict "rule of third?" |

Larry and Art, as explained commenting another image I tend to frame too mach of the main subject rather than the context surrounding the main subject. Actually my idea of composition was considerably different than this one but I could not go with that because I didn't have room the move. You know there's water there. I think that your image Art makes the framing of the gondolas a bit too tight. |

I like reflections I take images of reflections whenever I have a chance and I like this image, and I think that it is an excellent abstract image. Art did you try to include a bit more of the context? I'm the one that often focuses more on the subject and frames the subject a little bit too tight. Just an idea. |
