Peter, I often drive through the wind mill farms of Southern Minnesota but I never shoot a single photogram because being the area being as flat as the Siberian plaines I never know how to catch those giant propellers. You found a very good way and you were quick to catch the action. As Art did you too can improve the image with the help of one of the tools available to us today. the composition is good, the colors warm, the combination shadow and light good. Try to slightly adjust the focus it will improve your mage a lot. |

Marge excellent image. I love this images that reminds to me the painters of 19th century. I would too live the image as is, because if u start looking at the images from the bottom, your eyes are moving smoothly to the upper part were you can see the boats and at the top the shy sun peeking trough the fog. Nice and well done. |

Yes, indeed Kirsten a nice shot, great use of the tools, but you made a simple fatal mistake. You stuck the image right in the center of the image. Beside that the focus looks sharp, the color well saturated. And I would try a b&w version. |

Art this is a dramatic action image, you were quick to trigger the shutter and caught a good moment. Although, I would prefer the color version. In my humble experience I noticed that action b&w images do not perform well, unless the subject is very well defined. Your image appears to be sharp, the composition looks fine to me even I imagine that you didn't have much time to think about that. But, again, I would go back to the color version. |

Gerry, you made it again with another winner. I do to I'm impressed of the sharpness of the image. Good composition, sharp focus, saturated colors, plenty of action are the perfect ingredients for a winning image. And this is a winner. Great. |

Craig this image would get any prize in a NATURE Salon. Tuck sharp, excellent composition. By te way I disagree with Art flipping the image would not change anything because the movement of the subjects is that of giving out of the image. I might be with him about the small enhancements for the color, but I think that the dynamism of image the composition, the focus can easily set aside the minimal difference of the colors. Actually if it was my shot I would have it converted to B&W. Excellent job. |
