I like the simple composition and the detail in the leaves. I know the dark area between the two leaves is the result of the shadow of the one leaf cast on the second leaf. To my eye it's a bit of a distraction. Each time I study the image my eye is drawn to this area. Nice border with a nice color. |

Like the composition of the lily. I too prefer the color image over the B&W image. The lighting looks flat to my eye. The lily looks sharp. I would like to see a thin border on the image. |

Great image of lichens with great detail. Beautiful colors throughout. Lichens are interesting in that they have a symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae. One does not exist without the other. I like the image the way it is without the vignette. I would crop the left side enough to remove the yellow lichen in the upper left corner. I really like the group of lichens you chose for this image. |

Nice detail in the petals showing some nice detail. The rose retained nice color. I agree with David about the lower right petal. With your camera on a tripod, you could have used a smaller aperture and gained DOF. I also agree with David on a tight crop. |

Like the detail in the leaves and their shapes. Like how the snow looks in the image. I would not change anything about the color of the snow. Snow will have a blue cast in the shadow areas not only due to blue sky but also because of very cold temperatures. Very well done, David. |
