Nice image with nice composition. I agree with David to darken the background. Agree with Mark about a second light source. In all my shots I use a reflector as a secondary light source to open up the shadow areas. If both light sources are equal the image can be flat with no depth. Location and intensity of the secondary light source is very important. |

Mark, I think this particular point of view has great impact. I feel this image would do very well in competition with the right title so people would know what they are looking at. This image is so good! |

Great detail in all the parts of this sunflower. Nice colors throughout the sunflower. I would like to see the flower rotated 45 degrees to the left to create a diagonal. This to my eye would make a better composition. I might even crop off the left side and then rotate the image 45 degrees to the left. I love the result with great impact. Hope you don't mind just an idea. |

Great composition in this shot. Great background. Great detail in the two near florets. I also like the lighting. |
