I like your idea to crop the top, but I was trying to convey the idea of one tiny flower in a vast area. |

I too am not a fan of the texture used on the flowers. The texture to my eye is too much. I would like to see the natural beauty of the flowers. |

I agree with Barbara about the sharpness. At f-22 I feel it should be sharp. I would like to see a little more brightness on the flowers and less light on the background. |

I like your idea to darken the upper area. |

Love the composition and the tulip with a great background. This image is all about art. Nice! |

Thanks, Amy, for your comments. My intent here was to show how this tiny flower is isolated all by itself in not the best location, the walkway. I wanted to show its location and the landscape around it. I desired the background to be out of focus so to draw the eye to the tiny flower. This tells a bit of a story. This image was part of a Power Point program I put together for the Master Gardeners in our area. The program was images from their garden. |

Amy, you have a great flower to shoot, and the lighting seems good to work with. To my eye I feel there's too many distractions in the image. On the left side the two other stems and the white object pulls my eye to that area. Also, much of the right side could be cropped off. You need to take advantage of a beautiful flower, make it a bigger image in the frame. |

Love the detail in the front flowers and especially the black insect. You did good having to deal with the wind. Great background. |

Alstroemerias are interesting flowers and great to shoot. I like how you worked the lighting and brought it back to a pleasing result. Nice detail in and around the stamens. Nice work. |
