Like David this is a great image for a 51-year-old slide. Using slide film was the best way to way to learn photography. You had to get it right in the camera. |

Great background. I agree with Barbara it looks a bit soft. Do you manual focus or auto? I would try one soft box and one reflector. This set up will provide a main light and a secondary light. This will usually give the image more depth. Using two main lights can cause the image to look flat. |

I agree with David on this shot. I feel the bottom is a bit of a distraction. I also a little more rotation would add to the composition. |

A great shot with great impact. Love the red with the yellow against the dark background. Love the unique angle you shot this at to get this view. This is what a good macro lens will do for you, but you have to see this shot first and picture it first in your mind. A shot like this is not a snapshot it's well thought out. I might crop off the bottom I don't feel the bottom contributes to the image. Great shot. |

Just a great shot. Great background that makes the flower come forward and gives the image great depth. When you can create that third dimension of depth to a two-dimension image it's a success. Nice composition with great lighting. Nice sharp image. |

Thank you, David. I did not desaturate this, it's the true colors of that plant. Kale can vary much in color this one had this silver look with some color in the veins. I usually never mess with the color of any of my images. |
