Great composition in this image. I can't improve on all that has already been said. I think Tom really improved the image. I didn't like the left bud not being sharp. |

Janet, I do like the crop, like it very much. Probably better than the whole toad. It's always better to have other people look at your images and get their impression. The maker can over look things, kind of blind to our own images sometimes. |

I like the composition on this image. Nice diagonal. I wish the image had a little more DOF. Interesting study. |

But a diffuser held between the sun and flower would work fine. I have done this many times. I never use a flash. |

Nice group of mushrooms, nice colors. The mushrooms are sharp showing nice detail in the gills. The green objects in the lower left corner to my eye are distracting. I also feel the background on the top is a bit distracting. This would be a great subject to do a focus stack with. Doing a shot like this I like to use a diffuser above and then a reflector to bounce some light up on the underside of the mushrooms. This helps to keep the tops from being too bright. I'm not saying these tops are too bright they look good. The white film on the ground is spores that was released from the gills. They produce a tremendous amount of spores. |

Love the composition. Nice and sharp to my eye. I feel there is too much contrast with between the sunny areas and the shadow areas. I feel a diffuser would have solved this removing the hot spots. Stuard mentioned the center, it's the pistil the female part of the flower. Lots of nice detail in the center of this flower image. |

Like this image. Like the composition and placement of the orange rope the focal point. Lower left quarter of the image is sharp rest of the image is soft. Could be the camera was not parallel with subject. At f-14 I feel there should have been more DOF. I don't mind the purple rope being there is a purple strand in the orange rope. Kind of ties the composition together, no pun intended. |

This is a Pink Dogwood flower not a Magnolia. Actually the flower is the yellow center part. The pink parts are bracts which are modified leaves. Cornus florida. I agree with the comments Charles has made. |
