I loved this photo, Leonid. I was somewhat bothered by the seemingly blown out white reflection in the water and on the boat. It detracts from the striking contrast of the boat and the water that is the high point of your image. |

Ditto Judy's comment. I am a hunter and the image raises a response from me, for sure. |

Beautiful car, beautifully captured. My confusion with it concerns the consistency of the blurred area in the upper right hand part of the image with the stable area in front and on the wheels. Is this car portrayed as moving or not? |

This tightly focused image is striking - largely because of the post processing of the artist. For me,however, too many focal points detracts from the impact of this photo. First, the engineer, the alleged focal point of the image is almost invisible amidst the steam (isolated, he might have been another subject). The bight blue trailing cars of the train, command attention away from the rest of the composition. The basic material here is worthy of further work, in my view. |

Walter, I think you have great material here for a very nice shot. I think that the comments from the group point to the benefits from experimenting with more severe cropping of parts of this image that are not adding to your main focus: the circle of light and it's enclosure of the light ring and person. |

I love this picture, Dorinda, for many of the reasons others have commented on. It reminds me of the now-forgotten fashion of bronzing children's shoes. I find warmth in their worn demeanor and their age in the oxidized eyelets. You should be also commended on the "still life" presentation. I have no suggestion for changes!
