30 Jan 23 Comment I had a little green heron that fished from my dock line one season - a great little bird. I agree that the bird could use some sharpening. But my eye enters along the log and along the bird straight to the eye. I did not see a great need for blurring the background save the two stems that intersect the bird's head which might be cloned out. Overall, I really like the image and your presentation of it! 30 Jan 23 Comment I guess that the ship is at anchor as there is no wake. We can only speculate about the interest the couple might have in it - and that adds the interest to the image. Is that what you saw in it? I agree the ship could use some sharpening, but an interesting image nevertheless. Jan 15th

I have no idea how much much shutter speed would have to have been increased to get those grasses to stand still in the wind! But I thought, if slow shutter speeds can blur the water coming off the waterfall to give it motion then it should do the same for the grasses, eh? Jan 8th
30 Jan 23 Reply Thank you for your most helpful comments, Bill. As you can see from the agitated surf, the overcast sky was part of the scene that day and I decided to keep it that way. Your suggested removal of the sign and your suggested increased contrast I think improved the image. Jan 6th
