You raise another point that keeps coming up in my lightbox shots. This photograph, in my opinion, needs some fill lighting to bring the stamens into the same light plane as the rest of the photo. Got to work on that! |

You make a good point, Jody, about going to a solid background. I tried several from my background library but none really work well. I have not yet tried a solid white or black. That next! |

Lighting is behind flower (lightbox). Subject needs a darker background (I think) but several that I tried did not seem to work. It also needs to work with the darker flower stem. |

A beautifully sharp and processed photograph. The colors are very striking and I agree with those who would enhance the underside and shade side of the wing to bring out the colors more. Goodness! How does he get that long tongue folded into that tiny little head? |

I like the photo with the bird in action. I also like Dorinda's suggestion as it further highlights the anhinga. |

Interesting and imaginative subject. I like Dorinda's text addition which in my mind provides an anchor to a photo without a well defined subject. |

Nice, Dorinda! I agree with Robert re the branches framing, but I like the halo. Make of it what you wish, it imposes a deity-like interpretation to the picture. |

I love this photograph, Leonid. Nice use of diagonal lines. I like too, the color and "friend." I would change nothing. |
