Beautiful picture! Dorinda's crop and edits do improve the original. But an alternative might be to lighten the foreground that currently is in the dark, masking what appears to be interesting features. |

Excellent shot Jody! Just enough light to make interesting shadows on his face but not enough to get him to squint and distort his beautiful features. I have no suggestions for improvement. Bet you this one will be hanging on the wall for a while! |

Beautiful picture with the flowers nicely focused. I I did find the shadows distracting but they could be easily softened for improvement. While I at it, you could put a little more light on the bee to make it more a part of the photograph. |

Very interesting Jessica. I was particularly struck by the symmetry of this photo. The symmetry could be improved somewhat by following through with Judy's observation: square up the frame made by the outside of the panel to make a more symmetric frame in keeping with the symmetry of what lies within it. |

I had a slightly different take on this photo. I liked it very much and the falls pretty much stand on its own. The fog adds an air of mystery and interest overall to the picture and rather than try to get rid of it, I think it would add to the interest to make it even more a part of the picture - for example, clouding the building more into the background, which I agree with Judy, really doesn't belong in the picture, and doing your best to add a mysterious cast to the whole photo. |

Excellent capture, Tom! Like Dorinda, I have always wanted a great moon shot in my portfolio, but up to this point have failed or have taken a picture of that is greatly inferior to the one that you have presented here. I think maybe the month you took the shot, October, is the month of the blue moon or close to it. So you had an advantage of a large target. The other thing I think lacking in my efforts was just using too short of a lens. So thanks for the inspiration Tom. I will give it another try. |
