Placing the holly on black did enhance the colors. Thanks |

Interesting collection and skillfully put together from sharply photographed pieces. I am having some difficulty seeing the overall picture of what the composition is trying to tell me. What does the exploding coffee pot have to do with the "cup of coffee?" |

By the way,Robert, I have used the Helicon system for a few years now and find it very easy to use. It reads camera settings and then requires only that the desired beginning and end points be identified. It then calculates the number of shots required and stacks them. I also like its post processing ability to patch problems such as movement during the sequence of shots making the stack. |

Beautiful shot, Robert. I agree with the comments of others and would add that the blurred background texture and colors add greatly to the success of this photo. |

Interesting experiment and a nice colorful result. What do you think accounts for the ghosting of the white lights in the lower part of the photo that is not present in the upper part? |

Very cleverly done, Jessica. I thought initially that the image was cluttered and too busy. I can see now that the lines draw the eye to the stones in the upper left corner and tie it all together in my opinion. I like Robert and Dorinda's suggested tinting and some cropping, although Dorinda's crop takes out part of the stone "subject." |

Sunrise and flying bird silhouettes are a great combination for a fine image and yours has the added great colors to go with it. I agree with Robert and Leonid that the birds at the very top and the blurred ones at the bottom are good candidates for removal. But, I can see that cloning or otherwise removing some of the birds at the top edge present problems. Is it possible that other of the shots you mentioned that you took provide a means of combining to substitute a better top strip for the one here? Just a thought. |

A very nice composition, Dorinda. I like the colors and the complementary blue-gray background that really makes the lupin stand out. I have no changes to suggest, although the bright shiny spot in the upper LH corner is a bit distracting and doesn't seem to be contributing much to the composition and the focus on the green part of the image. |
