Nice and very interesting portrait. I think Leonid's suggested changes to place more emphasis on the hands and their task is an improvement. I just finished a roofing job (we don't do tile here in Delaware) and shot a lot of pictures of the men at work. I am pleased that others are finding portraits of the men who fix things interesting subject matter. I certainly enjoy looking at them. |

I like the interesting patterns of waves and water in this photo. I am with the others in appreciating the detail you have captured in the waves rather than conveying the "water in motion." I wonder if the contrast might be reduced a bit and the highlights darkened to reduce the glare of the water at the top of the picture. Just a thought. |

Quite an interesting photo. I too like Leonids version with some of the water cropped and the sky replaced(?). |

Wonderful job with everything sharply in focus. The colors are great, a welcomed comfort in these uncomfortable times. I wonder about the auxiliary lighting - it produces a glare off of the vegetables particularly the apple and the squash that detracts from the vivid colors. |

This is a wonderful shot, Robert, one of your best, in my view. I liked Judy's suggested crop, but still prefer your original.
The background is great. I had not thought to use focus stacking to enhance blurring. I think the framing effects of the "crap" adds balance and context to the shot. The branch less so because it stands out from the rest and is somewhat distracting. |
