What a spectacular photograph! The colors are wonderful and the drama of the scene wonderful as well. I love the light shining on or through the ice and how the colors of the ice and the red in the boat complement each other. Great job! |

I agree with you, Jessica. I see graininess (is that a word?) in the leaves as well. They may be sharpened a bit too much, perhaps also indicated by the halo around the main leaves. |

I like the composition and the sharpness of the focus. You nicely captured the cutter's concentration as he navigates the roof. You might try lightening his face a bit to more emphasize this feature. |

Nice image, Jessica! I particularly liked the nice sharply focused bud below the subject. I also liked Dorinda's suggested brightening the center of the flower which gives it a more balanced look to me. And the title is great! (Could have been "Mother and Child.") |

Thanks all for your comments. I considered cropping more heavily than I ended up doing largely because the blue flash that plays a minor role on the subject produced an effect on the background that I liked. The cropping and color adjustment diminishes that effect. |

Nice dreamy feeling. I thought a first glance that I was looking a growth in an aquarium with the leaves seeming to float. I agree with Robert that the brightness at the center is a little too much and might be toned down. But, perhaps it is that blurred brightness (from light on the other side of the aquarium) that provides that dreamy feeling? |

Its a very nice shot, Robert. I like the lighting and the background is perfect. To me, the leaves at the forefront don't require any additional help to stand out -- the sharpness and color does a good job of that. |
