I like the composition, Leonid. I sense what others seem to feel -- that the water droplet and the apples are too detached and don't seem to belong together. The splash seems to have been caused by the droplet that preceded the one at the top of the frame. You could remedy this with a copy of the apples and imposing it on the droplet with some blur and distortion. |

Very interesting shot with nice sharpness. I like the b&w presentation and I especially like the lighting that provides a great feeling of depth. |

This is a very pleasing photo with stunning colors. The wide aperture used here makes getting the whole butterfly in focus very difficult. I have been there, believe me! I have gone to a larger lens to widen the dof and used more cropping with some success. I have also shot on a tripod with bursts while manually changing the focus in an effort to find frames that could be stacked to achieve overall sharp focus. A friend told me that he tries to shoot early in the morning and on cool days to find the butterflies less mobile. Your beautiful butterfly shots the past few months tell me you will keep at it, |

I like the foreground lights with the fireworks. The two brighter ones at the opposite ends of the frame form a nice triangle with the aerial display and seem to me to tie the two different sources nicely together. Very nice photograph. |

I agree with Tom's comments. I like the vignette in this image, making it more complete. I also agree with Judy that the color of the original was less saturated and more satisfying to my eye. |

I understand where you're coming from. I considered emphasizing the bird in various ways along the lines that all of you expertly demonstrate. I chose to present the image as I saw it, with the bird somewhat blending into its environment as birds tend to do. I liked the environment too and decided to present more of it than most viewers would find appealing. |
