Excellent photograph! Nice and sharp throughout. My only suggestion would be to clone out the out-of-focus brown vegestation intruding from the rhs into the face. |

I am not sure what is pictured here. It seems to be some sort of raptor that has downed a goose-like water bird with its companion headed for freedom through the picture frame. Neat concept! I like your depiction of it through the clever application of the picture frame. Judy's suggested recoloring the background is beneficial. |

The white on black image of the tree is quite interesting. The tree has also picked up some of orange, adding interest. But, the more cloning that is done to this image, the more like infrared it seems to become. I still am having difficulty appreciating what the horizontal line of demarkation aims to convey to the observer.
Well said, Dorinda. |

What a beautiful blossom! I too find the reds so difficult to get right. Judy is definitely on the right track. The image is definitely worth more tinkering! |

Excellent shot, Tom. Nice crisp focus and the interaction captured is very interesting. Like Robert, the bird on the right has a bit of sky peeking through between his neck and head which took me a moment to figure out. His eye is barely visible, but nothing can be done about that beyond the enlargement that would accompany the suggested cropping. But the cropping should help. |

I like what you have done to the image. To me, the green foliage is too much of a departure from the subject matter to add anything to the main subject, the young woman. She could have been more sharply focused, but that is a minor issue. I did not think the others in the pictures were a distraction as they were smaller and more distant. Her thoughts seem afar from her surroundings and that mystery is the key interest in this picture, for me. Excellent job! |

I have been using On1 for a couple of years now, Robert, and am quite pleased. It has almost replaced Photoshop for my post processing. 8 and 16 depth, shifts easily with Photoshop. Much easier to find and keep track of photos than LR. Nice masking technology and it is FAST. Lots of tutorials (not my favorite learning method, but they are nicely done). |

Thank you, Judy for your useful comments. You must have seen a similarity with a photo of your own a few months back with the red pipe. I thought of it when I ran across this image taken a couple of years ago. I used a grunge preset in On1 with an opacity of about 80%. |
