To me, this is an outstanding photograph. It has great action, a feature lacking in most wildlife photographs. I am not bothered by the wing tip -- (I know its out there). I have seen many prize winning wildlife photographs with missing wing tips, animals with cut off legs, etc. as the artist chose to more closely focus on the face. In my opinion, Tom is onto the issue -- wanting to see more of the head and the tern's dinner. With a wide spread of wing, this requires a large sacrifice of image space. Worth it, in my view. |

I really like this image. I particularly like the color blend you put together. I also like the background. The border is a bit overwhelming. Perhaps a 3 pixel border picking up one of the flower or stem colors?
I have been interested in this technique from magazines and made a feeble effort at it. I am inspired by your work and will be back again, for sure. I look forward to your future efforts. |

Nice sharp colorful image, Jessica. I was struck by the potential for interesting symmetry in the part of the image above the reflection of the statue. A step or two to the right would have nailed it. A crop above the reflection would also eliminate the surface material that Tom found objectionable. |

I especially like the sharply focused foreground of the tree branch and wall you have captured. This image seems to possess a lot of drama, although it is soothed by the wide expanse of calm. The action is all in the left hand one third of the image. The wall provides a great lead in to the squall line on the horizon.
I am pleased to join you on the tilted dunce chair! |

Excellent image, Dorinda. I know that it is very difficult to get a dog into the pose you want. This beauty must have his eye on a treat. I love the catchlight in the dog's eyes. Good post processing, too. Although a bit of sharpening would be beneficial, I don't know how much you could get away with at 10,000 ISO without bringing out noise. |

This is a beautiful architectural shot: the sky is great, focus is dead on. This is a great shot. If it has a weakness, it is the foreground:. the absence of people there, or something, would improve the depth of the image. But without that, the photo is excellent! |
