I agree with Tom. I also like Judy's suggestions, although the subject house stands well on its own.
Let me pursue a point Robert raises regarding the different shade of blue in the sky and in the reflected puddles. I have experienced this in photographs -- where a reflected blue takes on a different shade than the sky. Is there a refraction issue? The light going through a different spectum path to the sensor? What about this Professor? |

I love the imagination provoking nature of this image, taken when most of us had given up and moved on. Tom seems to be similarly moved. I see a surreal human figure to the right of the "door" in the tree. She is grey headed, stooped, headed toward the door just to the right of it. I continue to search for other ghosts. This one definitely belongs in the stairwell In your office bldg! Blowing up this phone image will blur it, adding to the fun. First rate, out-of-the-box thinking, Robert. |

i am embarrassed by this submission. I was focused on achieving a good horizontal plane with the steps and neglected the windows. While it is conceivable that a house this far out of plumb could have windows this far off, Alas, this is not the case. Sloppy photography and editing are the problem. Judy, once again you show me that, "less is more." I like your crop! |

Nice composition and well focused. The water droplets add interest to the beautiful flowers. I like the tonal range of the white flowers. Bet that walkway smelled wonderful! |

This is an interesting image to me. I like the dark mood of it although there may be too much of it. The crops on the right make the more inviting table by the window the dominant feature. Upon expansion that the cropping provides, some of the features might be removed or simplified. |

Very nice image,Tom. I had no trouble seeing the two birds. Beautiful showing of the feathers. My version could have used a bit of sharpening around the eyes. I know, not easily attained at 400 mm at 7:40 AM. I agree with Dorinda that the added dark background adds importantly to the image. |

Excellent shot, Dorinda! The action is captivating and holds my interest. Adding the HDR adds drama while diminishing the realism, in my view, both versions are compelling, but I hink your dramatic version wins out! Looking back over the time we have apent looking at one another's photographs, I can't help noting how your photo skills have increased. |
