Cropping allows more attention to the animals' heads, as Robert suggests. I feel it is a worthwhile tradeoff. |

Excellent composition, Robert. I like very much the textures of the grasses and brush and the nice range of tones here. interesting curved road, not the typical straight access roads found in most rural areas. Where is it going? We see only the faintest of tire marks on it. Another in Robert's tour of Maryland. I feel intriguing rather than comforting in this image. I like it very much. |

I see your point, Robert. The birds behind the flying one add nothing and are not sharply focused, in any event. |

Well, you have taken me all around the spectrum on this image and, coming back to Judy's submission, I find that I like it better and better. I strikes a nice balance, in my view, by its emphasis on the front lights. Bringing into more prominence the lights in the rear of the image as Robert's version does begins to look too busy to me. The brassy tone of Judy's white balance appeals to me, also. Very good. |

I love the sharpness and the beautiful contrast of color and texture here. I also like the composition and how everything seems to fit together: the background greens enhance the beautiful green leaves of the main subject. I agree with those above that the white flower seems out of place. Excellent! |

I agree with Leonid. Too much bright color for my taste and I think that a darker background would show better. |

Good eye on this one, Dorinda! I see the tango dancers in one of those racy latin movies. I like the lighting which focuses on the subject to the extent that the log was not bothersome to me. Very nice. |
