This one took me a moment before I was able to see what the subject was (water vs stone path?) then I was in awe that you got out of the car for the shot as it looks and portrays the cold! I agree with above about saturating the lighting and colors of the movement from the original as to me the water is the subject here even if it is not an obvious one. |

What a perfect specimen to represent 'fall' colors! I would have done a tighter crop and used a dark vignette vs light for a slightly different feel. Beautiful bird! |

I actually like how the dimming of the sky and therefore most of the flag colors spotlighted the red flag. This to me really highlighted the stark contrasts in this basically black and white photo. I too would have liked to see the single set of footprints entering the memorial, good idea for future photos. |

I agree with wanting to crop this image down a bit to focus more on specific shapes of leaves, the 3 obvious areas, rather than the mass in the upper right that is a bit distracting. I do love the colors and lighting here and it is definitely a great image for the topic this month! Thanks for sharing. |

I can no longer relate to this scene having lived in the southwest for the last 25 years or so. *Nor do I miss relating after surviving Chicago winters for the 25 years prior*. But I do appreciate those that share their photos of snow. Especially this much snow. I like the awe, serenity and chill this photo forces one to feel. On a technical note I would have cropped the left a bit, seems superfluous as its the table and trees that are the focus here. Thanks for reaffirming our decision to move south! |
