Another great 'Holiday' photo submission with a sentimental feel. I find myself wondering about the green tint? on the chrome. Was it really that color or was that merely a reflection? I liked what Kerstin (and Connie) did with her version with lightning and tightening the crop. I also like the idea of somehow being given a nudge at a specified moment to look around and just take a photo, any photo, and see what you can make of it. I think I would have enjoyed that class. I hope you got a good grade with this photo, it deserved an A! |

Im with Larry and the Nikon comment! I love this submission as the topic of the month. Not so on the nose for 'red' subject matter. Would have done a slightly tighter crop on the right side but overall the photo is wonderful! Great subject (especially for this venue) and great overall photo and composition. Thanks for sharing. |

This does indeed look like a Christmas card or 2 I received this year! Very festive. Im a bit distracted by the light to the lower left and would have burned that area a bit also would have cropped a bit tighter as well. I also agree with the above comments of paying more attention to my own tree for future close up subjects. Thanks for sharing. |

Nothing says Winter and Fall quite like red maple leaves. This reminds me of my years in the north-midwest. Do not miss raking them though. This is a much better use case. I like the simplicity of the image and the exaggeration of colors caused by Topaz. Nice Image. |
