Janet, It's a special skill to successfully photograph birds this way. The sharp focus, composition and color palette are really nicely handled. The top is a little bright, but the colors blend so well with the rest of the image I would darken only sightly. You're lucky he posed for you. Great job! |

Hi James. The color you've captured is well done, and the rose chosen is unblemished which is nice. The choice to offset is a good choice as it works with this particular rose. I too think a vignette would enhance the image along with a thin border to finish.
Nice job. |

Charissa, this is a really well done image. The colors flow well and your composition is well thought out. The use of the glossy black base really provides the perfect detail. Providing more room at the top will let the green vase breathe a bit.
Great image - congratulations! |

This is beautifully done Dick. Composition, colors, sharpness...I wouldn't change a thing. |

I apologize for the late comment Diana. I absolutely love the triangles and how you have managed them. The sky is great as well. I share your thoughts on taking images of others work and always wonder if I'm providing an image that the artist would appreciate. This is perfect in monochrome and I agree that the lower left corner triangle should remain. |

Welcome to the group Nan! I apologize for the late comment on your image. I agree with Jennifer that some of the sky could be cropped out, but I actually like the signs. For me, the signs give this a sense of place as do the electrical lines. The your choice of monochrome is a good one. Nice job and welcome once again! |

Stephen, my apologies for the late response. I personally like your rendition in monochrome. The detail in the brush is really well done, and your choice of inferred was a good one. I might think about a dark vignette to tone down the white corners, but other than that, this image is interesting and different. Good job in seeing detail in an everyday object. |

Apologies for the late entry. I must say I like the color version even though your composition is spot on and the rock texture is great. While I can see the moon bow when in monochrome, I think the color version is more interesting. |
